Docks on a misty morning.

Camera Shy


hiding behind her friends
just enough revealed to catch
glimpses

the side of her head
an arm at outer margin
the back of her sweater
a shoulder covered with
soft brown hair

existing carefully on the edges
she disappears when the camera appears
washes dishes in the kitchen or
steps outside to empty trash

later when they look at photos
no one can remember for certain
if she had been there
